We're a credit union, not a bank.
Credit Unions are not for profit financial cooperatives built to improve the financial lives of the members they serve. Unlike banks, we have no outside stakeholders, so we operate solely for the benefit of our members. The profits we make go right back into improving the Credit Union. Because of this structure and focus, we typically charge fewer fees than banks, in addition to having competitive rates. A recent independent study revealed we save members an average of $353 per year as compared to banks in our markets.

Our History
Hoosier Hills Credit Union grew from the break room of the GM Foundry in Bedford, Indiana in 1968. It was formally organized the following year as Bedford Independent Federal Credit Union. Fifty years from its humble beginnings, Hoosier Hills Credit Union has grown to more than half a billion dollars in assets, serving more than 29,000 members with the same mission–the financial wellness of its members.
